Browser Audio Capture

This extension records audio from the currently active browser tab and locally exports it as an audio file.

What data is collected

This extension does not transmit recording data to any remote server or third-party service.

The extension may temporarily process audio locally in the browser for the purpose of exporting a recording file.

Permissions used

• tabCapture: to capture the audio of the active tab
• offscreen: to enable media capture in Chrome extension background/offscreen contexts
• activeTab: to identify the active tab the user is interacting with
• storage: to save user settings and recording state locally
• downloads: to save the exported audio file

Data retention

• Settings are stored locally in the browser.
• Audio recordings are not uploaded or stored on a remote server by this extension.
• The user remains in control of the exported audio file.
